The next step after backtesting a strategy is to try it going forward. Paper-trading shakes out the strategy but doesn’t match the psychology of live market interaction. Trading a small account is more robust.
Since August 2012, I have been following the rotation strategy published in my book, Truth About ETF Rotation – Fund Your Retirement by Investing in Top Exchange Traded Funds in One Hour Per Week (Beat The Crash), with a model portfolio in one of my IRA accounts.
The Performance page shows the progress of forward-testing on the model portfolio with comparisons to benchmarks, an equity curve, and brokerage statements.
You can get up-to-date ETF Rotation information including daily ranking of ETFs and timely trade alerts on the model portfolio by joining my email alert service. For historical reasons, and because I’m only going to spend the time to support one service for all my trading styles, its called divergence-alerts.com.
